5 Cute Stories Between Me and My Girlfriend

1. Enrollment. Once upon a time, it was the enrollment days for our school and the summer before that I have decided to take all possible subjects I could because I realized I wanted to graduate college once and for all. As I got my subjects encoded, which, by the way was not easy, this was the time when online enrollment wasn't a thing yet, I exited our Media Studies Department with my friend waiting outside and I saw someone from the next department, the Psychology Department, a girl wearing a red t-shirt, and I just told my friend, "Look, a cutiepie." and then we went on with our lives.

2. "You hear that?". A year later, around the same time, me and my friend went to National Bookstore to buy journals. In the journal section I saw the same girl in red last year, she was with a girl. My friend, being a good friend, pushed me towards the girl and the girl she was with and yelled, "Weren't you looking for a journal???" and I learned from eavesdropping that girl and the girl she was with was in a relationship. According to my journal on that day, it said, "You hear that? That's the sound of my heart breaking."

3. The Song. After graduating college, I went home to my hometown. I wrote songs for my upcoming album, one of those songs, a song titled "Hangin" that kind of wrote itself with that girl's face on my mind. I wasn't being creepy or anything, It really wasn't like that, it was more like I had a deadline and I needed someone to inspire me or I wouldn't reach my deadline otherwise. It worked. It worked so good that I even wrote her name in the album's lyrics. She had no idea.

4.  Anthosia. Anthosia is a cafe I used to regularly play at. A few weeks after my album launch, I played a usual gig at Anthosia, I played 4 songs in my album which usually included "Hangin." However, on that day, she was there, with her girlfriend and friends, so I didn't play Hangin, I felt it would be awkward, of course, nobody knows, only one of my friends know who Hangin was for, and I wasn't risking my well-being just to follow my set-list. My gig, my rules.

5. The Rest Is History. 6 months later, things took a turn. She was a fan of my music and collaborations, I was a fan of mental health. I got into law school and valued my mental health, she was a psychology major. We talked mostly about me, I felt really lost that time. She was just giving me advice. Then she told me she loves my song Hangin. At that point, I don't know what happened, I admitted to it, saying that she was the inspiration for that song, she wouldn't believe it until I showed her proof of her name on the lyrics. And the rest, is history.
